Dania Daou

PhD Student

Dania DaouDania Daou, born on October 5th 1997, received her Bachelor degree in Chemistry from the Lebanese University in Beyrouth-Lebanon in 2018. She had also got her Master 1 in Analytical Chemistry from the Lebanese University in 2019.

Then, she moved to Rennes-France, where she has graduated from the University of Rennes 1 in July 2020 with a Master 2 degree in “Catalysis, Molecules and Green Chemistry”. During her master, she worked on the synthesis and characterization of new self-organizing complexes of Ru(II) bis-acetylides, under the supervision of Dr. Olivier Galangau and Prof. Stéphane Rigaut.

Since September 2020, Dania has moved to Strasbourg-France to pursue her Ph.D. studies in organic and supramolecular chemistry, in the framework of the ArtMoMa project, under the supervision of Prof. Nicolas Giuseppone and Dr. Emilie Moulin, at the ICS of University of Strasbourg.

Currently, she is working on the synthesis of molecular motors that are able to generate macroscopic oscillations.
