Joakim Heiser

PhD Student

Joakim HeiserJoakim Heiser (born in Strasbourg, France) studied chemistry at the University of Strasbourg where he obtained his Master in Molecular and Supramolecular Chemistry, in 2017.

During his bachelor, Joakim performed an internship supervised by Dr. Yannis Francois about the “Separation and identification of protein Cetoxy Mab through Mass Spectrometry – Electrophoresis coupling” in the Mass Spectrometry of Interactions and Systems Laboratory. Later, he joined the group of Pr. Nicolas Giuseppone in order to work on the “Elaboration a diarylethene incorporated as a regulator to a contractile gel”.

For his Master degree, he performed an internship under the supervision of Pr. Luisa De Cola at the Institut des Sciences et d’Ingénierie Supramoléculaire in Strasbourg. There, he worked on the “Synthesis of ligands coordinated to three Platinum centres to form luminescent complexes”.

In October 2017, Joakim strated his Ph. D under the supervision of Prof. Nicolas Giuseppone. His project is entitled “Integration of light-fuelled molecular motors combined with releasing units into a contractile gel” and will be focused on the elaboration of mechanical oscillator materials.
