Philippe Schiel

Philippe comes from the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg (born on the 20th of March 1994). After finishing high school in Luxembourg, he went to Switzerland to study at the University of Fribourg where he obtained in 2017 the Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a minor in industrial chemistry. In 2019, he received his Master of Science in Chemistry from the same university. During his Master’s project, he worked on photoactivatable surface-functionalized diatom microalgae for colorectal cancer targeted delivery in the group of Prof. Fabio Zobi.
In September 2020, Philippe started his Ph.D under the supervision of Nicolas Giuseppone and Jean-Marie Lehn in the framework of the ArtMoMa-H2020 program. His project is entitled "Study of dynamic covalent molecular motors at surfaces and confined spaces" focused on systems with constitutional and morphological selection by molecular motorization
