Triarylamine-based supramolecular channels for ion and water transport
16 February 2017
Please, have a look at our last JACS paper here. In this article in collaboration with Dr Barboiu in Montpellier, we demonstrate the construction of triarylamine-based supramolecular channels in lipid bilayers. We show that these artificial channels are very efficient for ion transport. Strikingly, the mechanism of transport involves K+ cation-water wires, which is reminiscent of natural KcsA channels.
