Fluorinated Self-assemblies

Our research focuses on self-assembled systems and, in particular, on the synthesis and uses of fluorinated components for the engineering and functionalisation of such systems. We investigate multi-compartmented micro- and nano-scale objects, including surface films, vesicles, tubules, emulsions and microbubbles, with applications in biomedical sciences (lung surfactant, tissue oxygenation, cell adhesion control, diagnosis) and materials sciences.

    • A 3 years PhD position will be available from March 2015 with a research project related to "Fluorinated Self-Assemblies".
