Lorenzo Marradi

Lorenzo comes from a small town in Italy near Milan where he studied "Chemical Science and Technology" at the University of Milano-Bicocca for his Bachelor's and Master's degrees. He obtained my Master's in October 2021. For his Bachelor's thesis, he worked on biopolymers and the attempt to graft them onto keratin in order to obtain a thermoplastic material derived from industrial waste, with the idea of achieve the circular economy. For his Master, he worked on multivalent chitosan-based inhibitors of LecB, a protein involved in the development of bacterial biofilms. During this experience, he did an Erasmus+ internship at the Helmholtz Institute for Pharmaceutical Research Saarland (HIPS) in Germany for an Erasmus+ internship. He joined the SAMS team in February 2022 as part of the ArtMoMa project.
