Teodor Cucuiet
PhD Student
Teodor was born and grew up in Toplița, a small town close to the center of Romania.
He started his academic journey at Babeș-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry in 2019, then a master’s degree in Advanced Chemistry in 2021. His research projects there involved synthesis and characterization of macrocycles and chiral bismacrocycles. During his studies, he also took part in several volunteering projects, including tutoring undergraduate students and organizing informal learning activities.
He's a part of the SAMS group since October 2021. His PhD project is entitled „Synthesis of helicoidal supramoleculr polymers for chiral OLED devices” and his work involves obtaining and characterizing TATA-based supramolecular polymers with emissive properties
