Yohan Zarate
PhD Student
Yohan Zarate (born in Toulouse, France) obtained his Licence in Chemistry in the University of Toulouse 3 in 2021. During his Licence project, he worked under the supervision of Prof. G. Rapenne and Dr. C. Kammerer on the study and synthesis of molecular cars. He then moved to Strasbourg and obtained his Master's degree in Molecular and Supramolecular Chemistry in 2023. In 2022, he completed an internship for his master 1 at the University of Florida (USA) in Prof. K. Searles' group. He prepared heterogeneous Niobium and Tantalum catalysts for methane conversion. In January 2023, Yohan joined the SAMS team for his Master 2 internship. He then started his PhD in October 2023 under the supervision of Prof. N. Giuseppone and Dr. E. Moulin. His project focuses on the integration of photoactivated molecular motors into bio-inspired assemblies.
