Professor Nicolas Giuseppone

Nicolas GiusepponeNicolas Giuseppone received his PhD in asymmetric catalysis (laboratory of Prof. H.B. Kagan, Paris Saclay), performed a post-doctoral research in total synthesis (laboratory of Prof. K.C. Nicolaou, Scripps, San Diego), and entered the field of supramolecular chemistry as a Chargé de Recherche CNRS (laboratory of Prof. J.-M. Lehn, Strasbourg). In 2008 he started his own research group, was promoted Full Professor of Chemistry at the University of Strasbourg in 2016, and Distinguished Professor (Classe Exceptionnelle) in 2020. He was deputy director of the Institut Charles Sadron (2012-2023) and the director of the Research Federation on Materials and Nanoscience for the Grand Est region (2018-2023).

His research interests are focused on supramolecular chemistry, molecular machines, and functional materials.

In 2024 he was awarded the Silver Medal of the CNRS for the originality, quality, and importance his research work.
